The heart of a real beast.
The exclusive colour "AMG Green Hell Magno" make clear, even from a distance, the pedigree of a sports car that was developed in the "green hell" of the Nürburgring. Additional attention is given to the design of the powerful body and the new AMG Panamericana grille as a unique motorsport feature. The flat front spoiler and forward-inclined radiator grille produce an eye-catching "shark nose" impression and seemingly press the Mercedes-AMG GT R deeper into the road.
A specific development goal for the Mercedes-AMG GT R was improved aerodynamic performance for increased negative lift force at the rear axle. This was achieved through a host of aerodynamic measures, including the active aerodynamics profile. It consists of ultralight carbon fibre (approximately 2 kg), which extends from the floor panelling beneath the engine from speeds above 80 km/h (in RACE transmission mode, otherwise above 120 km/h) and increases downforce. This improves driving ability in bends and driving stability at high speeds. Another measure is the active air control system which reduces wind resistance for high top speeds, reduced fuel consumption and increased stability at the rear axle.
