Feel the rush of the first corner as you approach this right-hander flat-out in third gear, reaching speeds of up to 190km/h, touch the brakes and turn in (not too late or too early), so that you get enough grip on the apex for your approach to turn 2. Make sure you look ahead because it tends to rush
As you brake and halve your speed through this hairpin corner, you’ll feel the G-force as it drops you down sharply to the right. You want to drop down to second to slide out just a tad so that you’re able to point the car into the apex for a hard exit which is mainly straight. Put the pedal to the metal as you’re able to exit the corner faster than you think.
The straighter the car is pointing, the quicker you can accelerate out of the corner. Stay hard on the throttle, gear up to third, and accelerate flat through to turn 3, which is a sweep, and then stay hard on it all the way to turn 4. Exit flat-out as this is the fastest straight, leading you to turn 4.
Once again, you just want to tap the brakes, turn in quite late and carry that momentum with you as you head up the hill. Shift into fourth gear as you head towards the highest point of the circuit. Don’t be hassled by the bumps as you exit the corner’s apex, dashing for turn 5 at the top of the hill.
One of the most difficult corners to get around at Zwartkops as it is quite deceptive, the car gets light so it can feel twitchy when braking. This corner will test your braking skills, but there are markers for you to use. Carry a lot of momentum as you exit and head down to turn 6.
The momentum will thrust you forward as you start to brake at the slow left-hand corner. Gear back to third, turn in quite early, and carry momentum out to turn 7. The corner is sharper than 90 degrees so you better take a lateapex to exit flat-out.
Feel the exhilarating torque as you accelerate through the apex of turn 7, on the exit you want to be hard on the throttle and straight-line this left-hander .Pick up a lot of speed as you reach the final corner at turn 8.
This corner takes you to the start/finish line and it’s surprisingly fast, so be careful not to lose the car as you exit. Hard on the clamps for this 90-degree right-hander onto the straight. It’s vital to get this right as you carry that momentum all the way down the final straight.
